Frequently Asked Questions about our services
- Oak Crest is a research lab but offers services? Yes! Our motivation is to help the research community with our know-how and equipment that is usually hard to find and difficult to access. Our instrumentation is divided into a) instrumentation accessible for independent use on an hourly rate with a user agreement and after we trained you, and b) key instrumentation that is only available as fee-for-service project where we run your samples for you.
- Can Oak Crest run large sample batches? We can, but it’s not our focus. Our strength is in tackling complex research problems that require an interdisciplinary combination of methods, extensive troubleshooting, or method development.
- What standard per-sample services do you offer? We do NMR and some chromatography on a per-sample basis with discounts on sample volume, assuming that you give us a complete method.
- Do you offer training? We do that on a case-by-case basis. The ideal situation is if we can connect a service project with one of our educational or workforce development programs.
