This week has been all about steel… Structural steel supports have been welded in all block openings (see photo) throughout the buildings. Steel beams were added in key locations to provide additional structural support. The structural carpentry is coming to an end, with the final 4×14 beams having been installed in the two main buildings. The older back building is next! Plywood flooring replacement on the first floor has started. The solar team installed the flashings and the conduits will be roughed in just before the roof work. Last night, Chestnut Ave. was bustling with activity as the Monrovia Holiday Parade unfolded.
