You know you’re close when the bathroom fittings are in (see photo)! We also have a safety shower in the main wet lab. The facility was a hive of activity this week, as the electrical crew continued to pull wires and connect the many panels. These efforts culminated on Friday with one of the panels going “hot”. No smoke! The low voltage crew ran more data lines and mounted the main switch. The kitchen, break room, and bathroom counters were installed, and look great. The steel railings at the stairwells are being welded in situ and will really accent the front entrances. The painters completed the first floor rooms and have moved up to the second floor. The indoor door/window frames were installed along with the baseboard on the first floor. The special epoxy floor coating in the tissue culture rooms also has been completed… And, we have moved in all our equipment from Pasadena. Here’s hoping for a quick final inspection so we can occupy!
