Another week of impressive progress. The crews are working 7-day weeks to keep the project on schedule. The concrete demo at the north end of the parking lot was completed last week-end and, after some work on the gas lines and the addition of electrical conduit, new concrete was poured. The electrical and mechanical work is still ongoing at an intense pace, but an end is in sight. Drywall taping and sanding is nearly complete, closely followed by the painters. The ceilings in the main labs have been insulated and the T-bar framing work has started in select labs (see photo). The downstairs bathrooms, shower, and janitorial closet have all been tiled and are looking great! Finally, our new 2,000 liter microbulk liquid nitrogen tank was installed on April Fool’s Day, which was a good way to end a busy week.
