We have a roof! The crew was amazingly efficient and completed the roof in record time. We are now less at the mercy of the elements, not a bad thing in an El Niño year, and hope the project can get back on track. While the roof work was ongoing, we also had the sandblasters clean up all the exposed wood beams and plywood, as well as metal brackets. It was like being at the beach, with sand everywhere. The old and new wood cleaned up beautifully (see photo) and will create a warm environment that will harmonize well with the open, industrial lab look. The plumbers were also able to make some some progress running pipe. Next week should be “all systems go”!
