Well, this week our facility looks more like an aquatic center than a future lab! It was a wet week, with nearly three inches of rainfall according to the LADWP. Since we do not yet have a roof, much of that rainwater accumulated in the building, especially on the northeast end (see photo), where the standing water is around two inches deep in certain areas. Needless to say, the projected roof work did not happen and we are now scheduled to start on Monday, weather permitting. The only productive crew members were the commercial glass contractors, who completed the exterior storefront and window glass installation. Looking good! Other than some more electrical box location and rough plumbing before the rains, this week was a wash… Literally! Hoping for a more productive time next week.
