Happy 2016! Another holiday-shortened week and, consequently, progress has been limited primarily to tying up loose ends in preparation for the roofers. Speaking of roofers, the materials were stocked on Monday by an impressive-looking crane equipped with a conveyor belt (see photo). The final roof penetrations for electrical, solar, and plumbing have been made and we’re ready and eager for this phase to get moving. As luck (or lack thereof) would have it, next week looks like a pretty wet one, with rain forecast for Mon-Thu. We’ll see how far we get with the roof! In the meantime, we did spend a lot of time locating all the electrical outlets in the building and are revisiting the plans with last-minute tweaks. This effort will pay off later as we are solidifying the layout of the labs. The glass has been added to virtually all outdoor storefront and windows and the building already looks that much more spiffy.
