In the early part of 2024 Oak Crest hosted two visiting scientists from Cape Town in South Africa.
The scientists came take Synthetron Flow Reactor technology to South Africa. Jeffrey C. Raber of Kinetichem, Inc, the supplier, installed the reactor at Oak Crest and trained Dr. Kanyisile Mhlana and Dr. Thembela Sonti on all aspects of maintenance and operation.
Exporting this technology will provide South Africa with the security to produce their own medications at a lower cost and without the interference of supply chain disruptions.
